The Filipino audience will get the chance to see a very timely play entitled 'The Normal Heart,' which is written by Larry Kramer about the early stage of HIV/AIDS crisis set in New York City in between 1981 and 1984.
Bart Guingona takes the lead role of Ned Weeks, a writer/activist who is also the gay founder of an HIV/AIDS advocacy group. Topper Fabregas is Felix Turner, lover of Ned Weeks. Richard Cunanan as Ben Weeks, lawyer brother of Ned.
TV Actor, TJ Trinidad plays Bruce Niles, a closeted homosexual who is the leader of the prominent AIDS advocacy group. PETA veteran, Nor Domingo as Mickey Marcus, a NYC health officer. Red Concepcion and Jef Flores from the play "Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady," are taking multiple smaller roles but the most memorable roles are Tommy Boatwright, the compassionate gay friend for Concepcion and Hiram Keebler, the NYC Mayor's office representative for Flores.
Roselyn Flores as the polio-stricken Dr. Emma Brookman, is really the most impressive performer in this play.
